Giannas Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks

Giannas Antetokounmpo is a PF currently playing for the Milwaukee Bucks. The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the #1 team in the NBA with a record of 53-12. The major reason this team is currently #1 is because of this crazy good player named the “Greek Freak”. Giannas in these last couple of years has risen and has become one of the most dominant players in the NBA today. He is currently averaging 29.6 points per game, 13.7 rebounds per game, and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 54.7% from the field. This season by Giannas has been one of the dominant seasons seen in NBA history. People are comparing Giannas to a prime Shaquille O’Neal with how he is terrorizing the NBA. When Giannas first came into the league NBA scouts knew he had potential but he did not showcase it at first, only being an average player when he started. However, it didn’t take long for Giannas to get experience and what really made him dominant was his body transformation. He put on a crazy 40 pounds of muscle which increased his ability to dominate in the paint. He is already listed at 6’11 now that he is 242 lbs, he is now one of the largest players in the NBA. Giannas since his first season and now up until this season has continued to improve his offensive and defensive numbers. In fact, he is a frontrunner not only for NBA MVP but also the NBA Defensive Player of the Year. I think it would be very difficult not to give him the Defensive Player of the year award with his unreal performance on defensive side of the floor game in and game out. Some of his defensive numbers this year include 1 block per game, 1 steal, and being top 10 among players in defensive rating while his team is also top 10 in defensive rating. In my opinion Giannas has shown that he is here! He wants the crown and has said it multiple times that all these stats and accolades are nice but he wants that ring which is his ultimate goal. It shows that he has a killer mentality to win which all of the great players have had to have to be great in the NBA. However, one major problem that has been holding Giannas back that he needs to continue to improve on is his outside shooting. Almost everything else he does is above average on the court which makes him so great in the regular season but in the NBA playoffs teams try to attack your weaknesses and that is why the NBA playoffs is where NBA greats are made in my opinion. Giannas was majorly exposed last year by the Toronto Raptors by them forcing him to shoot jumpers and building a wall in the paint so he couldn’t score easily like he did in the regular season. My advice to Giannas would be to continue to improve his outside jumper day in and day out. Due to his massive size, I don’t think his jumper will ever be great but if he improves to a level where they have to respect it then Giannas will eventually become the most unstoppable player in the NBA!

LeBron James

LeBron James – Los Angeles Lakers

This my first blog post discussing NBA players and how they are performing this current season in the NBA. This blog can consists of stats, achievements, accolades, or anything else that is relatable to the specific player I will be discussing in each blog. I will also give my personal opinion on how this player is performing my eyes.

LeBron James a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. This season he has officially changed positions from the SF to the PG in this current 2019-2020 season. LeBron is currently averaging 25.7 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, and 10.6 assists per game while shooting 49.8% from the field. His team is currently 1st in the Western Conference at 49-14. This had led to LeBron being one of the front runners of the NBA MVP Race. LeBron has been a frontrunner for the MVP for many years now and form him to be in his 17th season still doing the same thing is nothing short from greatness. LeBron has had a load taken off him this year by acquiring another all star player in Anthony Davis. This has caused LeBron’s points per game to take a slight drop but his assists numbers have greatly increased. LeBron’s defensive numbers have also taken an increase thanks to his all star teammate and the improved defensive Lakers roster. Their team overall is ranked in the top 10 defensively as opposed to last year where they were ranked in the bottom 20. LeBron has been on a hot streak ever since the season has started with his team constantly going on win streaks and being one of the only two teams in the NBA with less than 15 losses. However during the season there was a lot of talk that the Lakers had an easy schedule and were only winning against teams who weren’t that good. On top of that, people were saying that LeBron was only performing well against these below .500 teams and couldn’t perform against good teams when they needed him. This was quickly changed by LeBron and the Lakers when their schedule ran into a tough road trip and they had to go up against many good teams back to back to back. This happened a couple times throughout the season with these tough road trips but the most important was their most recent games. These games were against 3 top teams in the NBA including the 76ers, Clippers, and the Bucks. LeBron perfumed well in all of these matchups and was able to get wins in each of the three games. In my personal opinion, I think LeBron continues to improve the more and more he plays. Sure as he gets older he may not be as quick or as athletic but his basketball IQ just continues to get better and better game by game. This is very evident when you watch LeBron play. All eyes are on him when he has the ball and he is forced to be double teamed. LeBron being as great as he is, this his allowed his teammates to flourish this basketball season with everybody putting up good numbers throughout the roster. LeBron in his first season playing point guard is currently leading the NBA in assists which is just crazy to think about being that it is again, his 17th season in the league! We are currently watching greatness being unfolded with watching LeBron James and I cannot wait until the season resumes to see how this all unfolds.

NBA Player Updates (Corona)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
